My niece Avery is in the Brownies and about a month ago she sent me these Girl Scout Cookies as a care package. Avery is the oldest of three beautiful girls that my sister Marnie and her husband Michael are raising in an old farm house in Upstate New York.

The girls call me "Scary Uncle Johnny" which is a little disconcerting, because I consider myself to be pretty good with kids. Avery carries around "Fat Baby" which is an old set of infant footed pajamas filled with all of her stuffed animals. It is this weird bulging awkwardly shaped figure with mini-teddy bears for hands and a different bear for a head each time"Fat Baby" is re-assembled.
