Last week I was in downtown Iowa City where the downtown business committee had sponsored a Friday night event.

There was a 20 piece steel band playing. And it was not what I expected. It was made up of area highschool students who were playing traditional steel music.. They looked nothing like the gentleman on this fine album.

But actually they were really good.. Now how a bunch of land locked highschool kids found the soul of the Caribbean islands I have no idea but maybe they listened to this album on repeat.
