Bread and Soup Book
tag # 000303
My sister's brother in-law's family is from Southern
Canada, and they have run an organic farm there for
years. This is a cookbook that they published a few
years ago. The Hogwallow farm is nearly self sufficient
and with soup recipes like one flew over the pot, and
spring chicken stew, your resourcefulness will meet
your stomach.
My favorite recipe in this book is the corn chowder,
and that was before I moved to the land of 20,000,000
ears of corn. Have you ever thought of building yourself
a wood-fired oven? Well the bread recipes here work
best in one if you have one, but I've made some of the
quick breads in my little tenement sized oven so?
When I make soup I seldom follow a recipe to the letter
but it's nice to have a roadmap.
